Meet Charlise: Realtor, Mom, and Advocate for Families Finding Their Place

Before I talk about real estate, school choices, or even motherhood, I want to properly introduce myself.
My name is Charlise, and I’m a Charleston native, a REALTOR®, and—at the heart of everything I do—a mom who deeply values family, faith, and community. I’ve spent years helping families navigate major life transitions, but I also understand those transitions personally because I’m living them too.
This space—my website and blog—is where all of that comes together.
Who I Am Beyond the Title
Real estate is what I do, but it’s not who I am.
I’m someone who believes that where you live matters just as much as how you live. That homes are more than square footage. That neighborhoods, schools, routines, and support systems shape our children and our peace.
I serve families relocating to and within the Charleston and Columbia areas, many of whom are navigating big decisions around schools, community, and long-term stability. I approach my work with empathy, intention, and strategy—because I know firsthand that there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution.
My Family, My Why

I’m a mom of two boys, and motherhood has shaped every part of my perspective—personally and professionally. Being their mom has taught me patience, presence, resilience, and the importance of advocacy.
Our family’s journey has included growth, adjustments, learning curves, and moments that required us to pause, reassess, and choose what was best for us—not what looked best on paper. Those experiences have influenced how I show up for the families I serve.
When I say I understand how emotional and layered decisions around housing, schools, and stability can be, I mean it.
Why This Blog Exists
This blog isn’t just about real estate.
It’s about:
-
Navigating motherhood honestly
-
Choosing schools and communities intentionally
-
Advocating for your children with confidence
-
Building stability and legacy over time
-
Giving yourself permission to pivot when needs change
Some posts will be educational. Some will be personal. Some will be a mix of both. All of them are written with the goal of helping families feel informed, seen, and supported.
How This Ties Into My Work
As a REALTOR®, I help families buy and sell homes. As a mom, I help families think through the why behind those moves.
I understand that choosing a home often means choosing a school district, a commute, a daily rhythm, and a support system. My role is to guide you through those decisions with clarity—without pressure—and with your family’s long-term well-being in mind.
Welcome Here
Whether you’re a mom, a relocating family, or someone simply looking for guidance as you navigate your next chapter, I’m glad you’re here.
This blog is a place for honest conversations, helpful resources, and encouragement—because life doesn’t come with a blueprint, but it does get easier when you have the right support.
Welcome to my corner of the internet. I’m looking forward to sharing more with you.
